Pothi Somron Temple
Pothi Somron Pagoda is an ancient Khmer pagoda located on O Mon River, Chau Van Liem Ward, O Mon District, Can Tho City. Experiencing many ups and downs, incidents, the pagoda has 20 abbot generations, of which the abbot has the name such as: Venerable Duong Pau, Duong One, Ly Cu, Ly Nhieu, Duong Chau, Ly Noi, Duong Xoai, Duong Chinh, Dao Soc, Thanh Sen, Thach Khoi and Venerable Dao Nhu. The pagoda has twice changed the location. The first time the pagoda was built in O Mon arch, then moved to Bo Rich, the next time to the temple canal. In the beginning, in 1735, Pothi Somron pagoda was only built with simple materials such as leaves and bamboo.
