Festival of Thay Thay.

The Thay Thay Dinh festival has long been considered a unique and typical traditional festival not only of the local community but also a common cultural heritage of many neighboring provinces and cities in the southern region. 

Located in Tan Tien commune (La Gi town, Binh Thuan province), Thay Thay Ton's palace in the middle of the fanciful natural scenery. Architectural designs and artistic decoration motifs in the exterior as well as the decoration and worship in the interior show clearly religious character.

Especially, the content of the virtue of Thay, worship and the forms of activities and folk festivals every year in the palace are associated with the customs, beliefs and cultural and spiritual life of the local people.

Accordingly, in the old days in La Qua village, Dien Ban government, Quang Nam province had a kind of loving and miraculous talent that was admired by people for extremely extraordinary gestures. Due to the unjust court by the court, the Taoist and his wife turned the defection very thrilling.

Tam Tan land (currently Tan Tien commune, La Gi town) has become a gathering place for many stories of Linh Hien to be communicated related to that anonymous and unknown couple, but with the heart of the local people calling him the teacher.

At the time of the teenage teacher, he also pursued the path of education to have fame, but several times the exam did not succeed, he had to find a teacher, raising his life to help life. After attaining enlightenment, he met Dai Tang, his biological parents suddenly died. Mr. An was in miserable life, knowledgeable, loving people should be loved by the villagers.

The village of Thay Auntie all year round drought, crop failure. The life of the people is very miserable, the rice is not full enough, when sick as desperate. Once before the drought, the rice field was at risk of sunburn, the teacher stood out urgently, immediately transferred dark clouds and pouring rain. Rice fields revive as a miracle. His kindness before the scenes of disasters made everyone admire and his reputation spread everywhere.

There are 2 main festivals in the year: The first festival is held on January 5 of the lunar calendar. This is the day when the tomb of the teacher, but according to the folk legend is the day he died. To carry out this festival, from the previous days, there was a preparation for Chu Tat, the villagers went to the grave early in the morning, about 3km from the palace and picked up the position to the palace.

The second festival starts from 14 to 16 of the lunar calendar is held every year. This is the main festival of the palace. Before the festival, the villagers held the anniversary of the death anniversary of Tien Hien and Hau Hien to express their gratitude to the predecessors who have publicly exploited the village of the homeland hundreds of years ago and that is also the expression of the moral "drinking water to remember the source" of the people.

In fact, it is not only these days when tourists come, but half a month earlier, the cross has come very crowded and then half a month of the festive atmosphere is still exciting. In fact, throughout the September lunar calendar every year in this area always has festive atmosphere. The most concentration is still on 3 days 14, 15, 16 September of the lunar calendar, visitors from everywhere to enjoy and visit Thay Thay Palace every day. In recent years, the number of tourists coming to Thay Thay Palace has been increasing, welcoming about 600,000 visitors each year.
