Dinh Ba Festival and the legend of Ba Chiem Son Ba Chiem Son Festival is held on three days, the 10th, 11th and 12th of the first month (lunar calendar), of which the 12th is the main festival. Offerings include rice, pork and fruit, in addition, a crab, a clove of garlic, a mustard plant and a weasel are required. Those who offer ceremonies at Dinh Ba are elders and reputable people in the village. Before the ceremony, they must fast and be pure. Everyone wears a black turban and ao dai, but the celebrant must wear a blue, loose-sleeved ao dai, white silk pants, and go barefoot. It is known that before the holiday, the Moc Duc ceremony must be performed to bathe the statue with water cooked with leaves and fragrant flowers. On the evening of the 11th, Champa villagers held a Tuc Banquet Ceremony to offer offerings and invited her to attend. Offerings include a tray of rice, fruits and always grilled rice paper. The Great Ceremony takes place at midnight, the transition time between the 11th and 12th. This is the traditional Great Sacrifice ritual in Chiem Son village, taking place with 20 chants accompanied by the sound of gongs and drums mixed with solemn ceremonial music. On the morning of the 12th is the Colorful Procession Ceremony from Ben Gia on the banks of the Thu Bon River to Dinh Ba. Leading the procession is the lion dance team, the gong team, the drum team, followed by the sound bowls, agricultural palanquins and colorful palanquins carried by 16 young men in the village, then the troupe of soldiers and all the people in the village and visitors. According to the old custom, after the procession, the villagers held a ceremony to commemorate her merits. After the ceremony, all offerings are shared with the villagers and must be eaten all within the day. Ba Chiem Son Festival has become a spiritual cultural beauty of the village community in Quang, passed down from generation to generation, deeply embedded in the minds, thoughts and life aspirations of the people. Through the festival, the solidarity of the village community becomes more intimate, and at the same time conveys wishes for a peaceful and happy new year. The name Chiem Son has existed since ancient times, since the first residents followed King Le Thanh Tong to cultivate the new land. With the flow of time, along with the construction of villages, clan temples, etc., to worship the local tutelary god, the predecessors had the merit of exploring new lands; Chiem Son villagers also set up a palace (temple) to worship the Patron Goddess, which local people used to call Dinh Ba Chiem Son. There are many mysterious stories about the origin of Ba Chiem Son. According to Quang Nam commune, currently stored at the Institute of Han Nom: legend has it that Lady Thai Duong's fossilized bones naturally emerged at Tay An wharf, in the forbidden forest of Mau Hoa (now Duy Trinh commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province). The people of the villages believe that this is a "sacred stone" or "Ba Da" so they moved it to their village to worship. However, although the stone is not very big, it is extremely heavy and cannot be lifted. Hearing the strange story, eight buffalo herders of Chiem Son village took advantage of the moonlit night to invite each other to carry the stone to worship at the temple in the village. They brought Ba Da back. When they crossed Chiem Son hill, the rope broke, and Ba Da fell and there was no way to get back up. In the village at this time, a young boy appeared in the medium, his face bright red, saying that this was the guardian god of the villagers. She called herself Lady Bo Bo Thai Duong. She chose this position because she did not want to worship with the Buddhas. The villagers heard that and contributed their labor and resources to build a small temple to worship her.
