Hoa My village communal house festival Every spring, Hoa My village is filled with flags and flowers to welcome the flow of people from all over eager to come to the festival. The place name Hoa My was established on the country map in 1825 (the 5th year of Minh Mang), now it is Hoa My street, Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city. The village communal house festival takes place every year on the 12th day of the first lunar month to remind the spirit of "drinking water, remember the source" among clans' descendants, reviewing what has been done in a year and orienting what will be done in the coming year. Due to the war situation, the organization of the festival was interrupted for a long time, and it was not restored until 1994. Festivals in addition to traditional rituals according to customs: the ceremony of Praying for the country, Thai people, and peace; traditional incense offering ceremony; The offering of wreaths to commemorate the martyrs' cemetery was solemnly carried out by the Organizing Committee. Cultural and artistic activities with folk characteristics such as singing hut songs, flower arranging competitions, etc. also attracted a large number of people to participate. Hoa My communal house festival takes place for one and a half days. The ceremony according to traditional rites includes the vigil ceremony and the official taboo festival.  The festival has a lot of rich content, tradition and modernity intertwined, creating a very unique feature for the festival. The opening of the festival is always a traditional cross-country running tournament, attracting a large number of farmers, young people, male and female students to participate. While young people compete in flower arranging and baking competitions, the elderly perform calisthenics and play card games. Especially strong attraction to the audience are always folk games such as: Tug of war, beating om... because of its very bustling atmosphere. Besides, the opera excerpts interwoven with the musical and dance performances of the festival's cultural program are also a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity. The festival is also an opportunity for residential groups, families, and organizations to sit down for cultural exchange activities, exchange experiences about beautiful lifestyles in everyday life to help each other progress.  The festival's activities have created a very unique color of Hoa My village and Da Nang city, contributing to preserving, protecting and promoting national identity.
