Tay Phuong Danh Forging Village Festival Address: Tay Phuong Danh Village, Dap Da Town, An Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province To remember the founder of the forging profession on this land, every year, the people of Tay Phuong Danh join forces to organize a festival called the Forging Village Festival, lasting for 3 days from the 12th day of the second lunar month! This festival not only brings together households practicing the craft locally but also attracts people practicing blacksmithing across the province. In addition, the festival also attracts the participation of professions related to blacksmithing such as iron craft. Many households who have brought their village's traditional profession to settle in far away places do not miss this opportunity and arrange to return home in time to attend the festival with their relatives.  At exactly 4:00 a.m. on the 12th day of the second lunar month, the elders in the craft village dressed solemnly in traditional costumes in the presence of thousands of people in the craft, all solemnly standing in front of the altar of the Patriarchs and ancestors who founded the craft, praying in unison for the peace of the country and people, expressing the gratitude of the generations that inherited the craft to their ancestors and praying for prosperity to always favor the blacksmith craft. After that, the whole rural area became jubilant for 3 days and nights with many exciting cultural and artistic activities such as: traditional singing, folk games (tug of war, kettle beating...) and mass entertainment programs of the youth force. Coming to Phuong Danh during the days of the festival, visitors will see a radiant countryside with clean and sparkling village roads, all the houses are pristine, young men and women with beautiful costumes bustling along the roads to go to the festival. And especially, every house is filled with warm smoke to commemorate the ancestors of the blacksmith profession. Since 2003, the Provincial Culture Department has invested funds in the forging village as well as provided instructions on how to organize the festival, so since then, the festival's activities have taken place on a larger scale.
