Twin Towers Festival

Twin Towers Festival in Binh Dinh province Time: January 2 of the lunar calendar Thap Doi Festival is one of the famous traditional festivals of the martial arts land of Binh Dinh. The festival takes place on the evening of the 2nd day of Tet at Thap Doi relics, Dong Da ward, Quy Nhon. Visitors attending the festival can enjoy many unique musical performances such as: drum festival, lion dance, Cham singing and dancing... and experience many traditional folk games. The twin towers are located in the ancient Hung Thanh village, now in Dong Da ward, about 3km northwest of the city center. As the name suggests, the Twin Towers are two ancient towers left over from the ancient, magnificent Cham culture.  The twin towers date from the 11th to 13th centuries, with unique architecture, bearing the mark of ancient Cham artists. Around the Twin Towers are bas-reliefs, carved with images of gods and beasts according to the religious culture of the Cham people. The two towers, one large and one small, are like a married couple, relying on each other through many historical events over the past hundreds of years. Although heavily damaged during the war, the Twin Towers were restored and recreated almost as original as before. The Twin Towers Festival was carefully invested in by Binh Dinh province, imbued with Cham cultural identity. The festival night often opens with the bustling sound of drums celebrating the spring festival. After that, there were many performances introducing daily life and labor, honoring the traditional cultural beauties of the Cham people such as: Kate Festival, Loving Roya, Muta Ring...
