The highlight of the series is the official commemorative and opening program of the Red Phoenix Flower Festival - an annual event of Hai Phong - will take place at 20h10 on 13/5 at the Political - Administrative Square in the North River Urban Area (Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong).

The ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV1 and continued on many local radio and television stations.

The opening art program has the theme "Hai Phong - 70 years of belief and aspiration" with the participation of more than 600 artists and professional actors.

According to the Organizing Committee, the program is elaborately staged with modern 3D Mapping and Laser projection technology, recreating three development journeys of Hai Phong: History - Culture, Integration - Development and Innovation - Innovation.

Immediately after the celebration, the city will hold a high -level fireworks at six locations at the same time, in order to create visual accents for people and visitors.

In addition to the main programs, from April 30 to June 1, a series of art performances such as music and dance, traditional rowing, comedy, amateur music and street art will be held at the City Theater Square.

The International Art Festival brings together delegations from China, Korea, Japan and many other countries will also take place within the framework of the festival. In addition, the International Children's Art Exchange Program will be held with the participation of young art troupes at home and abroad.

A new feature of this year is the opening ceremony of a special tourist train called "Red Phoenix Flower" running Hai Phong - Hanoi. The ship consists of about 20 cars, being completed in Ho Chi Minh City, expected to be officially operated on 10/5.

This initiative is part of the city's green tourism and green transport development strategy, and the expectation to enhance the connection between the two major cities in the North.

Also on this occasion, Hai Phong will receive the title of "Hero City" - one of the noble titles of the Vietnamese State for localities with many contributions in resistance wars and national construction.

During that time, the surrounding area also had many insurgent troops, typically the insurgent army of Mrs. Tran Thi Trinh and her son Ngu Dao in Dai Dien, Tong Thuong Cau, An Lao district, (6km from Elephant Mountain), heard News of Le Chan's reputation contacted the Elephant Mountain base and became a general under her command. Although the uprising later failed and female general Le Chan had to commit suicide to preserve her reputation in the mountainous areas of Lat Son - Ha Nam, An Lao people still remembered her merits and kindness, so after hearing News of the female general's death, people in the area took her to worship in Hang Pagoda.
