Hai Boi Village Association Hai Boi Village Festival from January 4 to 6 helps people relax after a hard year working in the fields and rivers. According to the ancients, there were three brothers named Trieu: Trieu Nguyen, Trieu Chinh, and Trieu Lenh. Their father was a close friend of Thi Sach. After Thi Sach was killed by To Dinh, responding to Hai Ba Trung's call, the Trieu father and son recruited young men from the village and surrounding areas to join the insurgent army. They achieved many victories in the Red River and Duong River areas. Trieu Nguyen was appointed General, Trieu Chinh was General Toa Do Dai, and Trieu Lenh was Great General. Deputy General Luu Long's naval army was terrified when they met the Trieu family's navy. Luu Long had to retreat to Duong River territory. The battle is increasingly fierce. Remembering their contributions, Hai Boi people honored these people as village tutelary gods. The communal house also helped worship generals of the Mac and Le dynasties such as Phan Ngac and Vu Cong Te, for their contributions in suppressing rebellions and expanding the villages. During the day, there are human chess competitions and fat pole climbing. In the evening, there will be ancient opera performances and military drum singing. In particular, the Boi village festival has singing for love between young men and women. The two sides sing to each other through a long thread, connected to a butter tube covered with frog skin called "singing tube". They sing with songs rich in Northern folk music. Sing and answer one couple after another. The singer's voice goes through many stages: inviting, getting acquainted, singing nonsense, ending, and saying goodbye.
