Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2025: Many super attractive experiences The 2025 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival, hosted by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, will take place from November 7-9 at Hanoi Museum - Pham Hung Street, Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi and Hoan Kiem Lake area (ao dai - ancient costume parade activity). This is an annual activity of the Capital to promote Hanoi tourism associated with honoring, preserving and spreading unique intangible cultural values ​​- Vietnamese Ao Dai. Through a series of rich activities, the festival contributes to nurturing love for ao dai, raising awareness of the community - especially young people - about preserving and promoting national cultural identity; At the same time, it affirms the image of Hanoi - a "safe, friendly, quality and attractive" tourist destination. "Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2025 is organized with a dual mission: to both honor and preserve the unique intangible cultural value of the Vietnamese Ao Dai, raise community awareness of preserving national cultural identity, especially young people; and to develop and promote Hanoi tourism, linking cultural heritage conservation activities with exploiting the economic value of tourism," said Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang. The opening night of "Hanoi Ao dai - Shining the essence of heritage" took place on the evening of November 7 at the main stage of Hanoi Museum. The program brings together famous artisans, designers, models and artists, bringing elaborately choreographed performances, where the ao dai appears as a symbol of harmony between tradition and modernity, connecting Hanoi with all parts of the country in the breath of heritage. At the Hanoi Museum campus, there will be more than 80 elaborately decorated booths, bringing together designers, ao dai brands, weaving, sewing, embroidery, and silk villages along with typical artisans of Hanoi and many localities across the country.  Visitors to the Festival can admire the photo exhibition "Hanoi - Ao Dai Heritage", looking back at the journey of the Ao Dai through the perspective of art - fashion - culture. Visitors can also rent ready-made ao dai designed in many styles.  Not stopping at admiring, the festival also invites the public to "live in heritage" through a series of creative experience workshops held continuously for three days: try embroidering folk motifs, drawing decorative patterns for ao dai, making accessories, jewelry (such as straw bags, clogs, bracelets,...), making bamboo dragonflies,... Along with that, traditional art performances are held throughout the Festival, to honor the value of intangible heritage and introduce to the public unique national art forms such as ca tru, cheo, quan ho, xam,...  In addition to the display and experience space, Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2025 brings a series of highlight programs: Children's Ao Dai performance "I love Hanoi"; Final of the design contest "Ao dai - Connecting heritage"; Ao dai parade around Hoan Kiem Lake (November 8 afternoon), including the re-enactment of the procession of the Trach Xa Ao Dai Making Village's Patriarchs, the Hundred Flowers Walking Program and innovative ao dai of Hoan Kiem ward women, and the Hanoi Heritage Ao Dai Club gathering more than 1,000 people in ao dai and ancient costumes, creating a brilliant scene in the heart of the capital. In addition, the festival also has a "Hanoi Autumn Touch" experience tour by double-decker bus - where tourists wear ao dai to stroll through famous landscapes and preserve Hanoi's autumn moments in pictures; Ao Dai ensemble program "Capital Women's Integration and Development.
