Legend has it that Da Sy temple worships famous physician Hoang Don Hoa, who lived in Huyen Khe village (now Da Sy village). He is a talented, virtuous, dedicated physician with compassion for the people, and has made many contributions to the country's medical system. He is considered the first "Military Doctor" in Vietnam with the medicine "Cao Dan Hoan Hoan" - which means using oral medicine combined with topical application. He also created and passed on to the people of Da Sy village many useful herbal remedies. When he passed away, Da Sy people set up a temple at his and his wife's house to worship and honor him as the village's Thanh Hoang. The traditional festival of Da Sy village is also known as the mass festival, because it coincides with the death anniversary of the village's Thanh Hoang, the famous cultural figure - famous physician - medicine maqui Linh Thong layman Hoang Don Hoa. Since ancient times, the Da Si village festival has been famous throughout the region, attracting a large number of visitors from all over. During the festival, Da Sy people organize a procession of Ong and Ba palanquins from the temple to the communal house on the opening day of the festival and from the communal house to the temple on the final day of the festival. The palanquin procession custom of Da Sy village shows respect for those with meritorious services. The palanquin set includes the Ong palanquin with the symbol of 8 dragons and the Ba palanquin with the symbol of 8 gilded phoenixes. The Ong palanquin carries the village Thanh Hoang's Thanh Hoang Don Hoa, the Ba palanquin carries the village Thanh Hoang's wife, Princess Phuong Dung. Every time the palanquin procession leaves the temple gate, the Ong palanquin stops to let the Lady palanquin go first. When the procession arrives at the temple gate, the Ong palanquin gives way to the Lady palanquin to enter first. It is also an expression of traditional cultural behavior, a unique feature of Da Sy village. Along with that, we organize rituals of offering peace, giving thanks, offering incense to the village Thanh Hoang... Da Sy village traditional festival also takes place exciting cultural, artistic, and sports activities such as: early spring football tournament, cheo singing, quan ho singing, Chinese chess, tug of war, cockfighting... during the 4 days of the festival to serve the people and visitors from all over to enjoy the festival.
