Can Gio launches a series of "festivals within a festival" to welcome Spring 2026 In the bustling atmosphere of welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio officially announced the organization of a large-scale Spring Festival, lasting throughout Tet from February 7 to February 28, 2026. The opening event for a series of "festival within a festival" activities was held for the first time in Vietnam, marking the beginning of the journey to make Can Gio become a new super tourist and festival destination in the southern region. According to the organizers, during the three weeks of the festival, the Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio space is dressed in a brilliant spring look with a system of welcoming gates, grand landscapes and artistic miniatures inspired by the Year of the Horse mascot. Tourists will not only be able to immerse themselves in the traditional Tet atmosphere but also experience a variety of cultural and entertainment activities, combining national identity and modern tourism trends. The focus of the Spring Festival is a large-scale spring flower area, gathering 300 northern peach trees and 300 southern apricot trees, creating a space of cultural interference typical of the three regions. In particular, the spring route is highlighted by the 150-year-old Phu Quy apricot tree, transported from An Giang to Can Gio, considered one of the largest ancient yellow apricot trees in the Western region today. Besides the spring flower space, the festival also made a strong impression with the Hot Air Balloon Festival appearing for the first time in an event to celebrate the Lunar New Year. With 22 large, colorful hot air balloons, visitors have the opportunity to see the panoramic view of the sea, mangrove forests and festival space from above, while preserving unique check-in moments in the "green paradise" of Can Gio. During peak days such as the opening ceremony (February 7–8), Valentine's Day (February 14) and New Year's Eve (February 15), paragliding shows will be held, bringing a new experience, combining adventure sports and coastal natural scenery viewing. The organizers said they have arranged specialized equipment to serve tourists who want to experience flying, especially young people who love to explore. The visual highlight of the festival continues to be extended with two nights of high-altitude fireworks on the opening day and New Year's Eve, marking the first Lunar New Year season at Vinhomes Green Paradise since the project officially started in April 2025. Along with the ceremony is a vibrant festival space with the Three Regions Culinary Festival, regional specialty stalls, handicrafts and a series of familiar folk activities such as making letters, lion - lion - dragon dancing, stall dancing, wrapping banh tet and a play area for children. In particular, the organizers also prepared thousands of early spring gifts for visitors, including 2,026 lucky money envelopes hanging on the giant lucky money tree at the event center. According to Vinhomes representative, organizing a large-scale Spring Festival in the first year of launch not only means welcoming the new year but also demonstrates the capacity to deploy infrastructure, organize events and orientate the development of Can Gio into an international festival and tourism destination. With a synchronously invested resort, entertainment, culture and health care ecosystem, Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio is expected to become a new driving force for Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry, aiming to welcome about 40 million visitors per year in the future.
