The Vesak United Nations Buddha Ceremony is one of the important international cultural events recognized by the United Nations, in order to honor the global human and peaceful values. The 20th UN Vesak Ceremony has the theme: "Solidarity and tolerance for human dignity: Wisdom of Buddhism for World Peace and Sustainable Development", hosted by the Vietnam Buddhist Church held in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of Vietnam's 50th anniversary of the country's reunification and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In 2025, the fourth time in Vietnam held this great event, after the success of the Great United Nations Vesak Buddha Ceremony at My Dinh National Convention Center (Hanoi City) in 2008, at Bai Dinh Pagoda (Ninh Binh Province) in 2014, at Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam Province) in 2019.
