Traditional festival of Lai Tri communal house

Every year, on the 11th, 12th, 13th day of the 9th lunar month, the people of Lai Tri village, Tay Son commune, Kien Xuong district (formerly Vu Tay commune) solemnly organize the traditional festival of Lai Tri communal house. The traditional festival of Lai Tri communal house is an opportunity for each person to understand more deeply about the land and people of ancient Lai Tri and present-day Vu Tay. This is also an opportunity for each person from Vu Tay's hometown to express their gratitude to the Holy Patriarch Duong Khong Lo - a man who has contributed to the country and the people. During the festival, many cultural, artistic, and sports activities are held such as: palanquin procession, swimming, worshiping male and female officials, evening ball exchange with cultural programs....  Lai Tri village communal house, Vu Tay commune, is a national historical and cultural relic, worshiping National Master Duong Khong Lo, who had the merit of presenting plans for water treatment, dike construction, and medical treatment to King Ly Thai Tong, so he was appointed National Master. Lai Tri village communal house is not only a cultural heritage but also a place to record historical traces of the Party Committee and people of the commune during the anti-French period. Every year, it has become a tradition that on the 11th, 12th, and 13th days of the 9th lunar month, along with the opening day of the Keo pagoda festival, the people of Vu Tay hometown, along with a stream of visitors from all over, come to the communal house festival of Lai Tri pagoda to celebrate saints and Buddhas to pray for peace, good rain, good wind, and a prosperous life for everyone in every home. This place is not only a place to preserve historical cultural and artistic values, but also a common home for the villagers, a place to anchor the emotions of those who go away, and a bond of responsibility with those who stay to build the homeland so that the source of national culture flows to the future. The organizing committee respectfully invites and is honored to welcome visitors from all over as well as children from our homeland who are currently working, studying and living all over the country to attend the festival.
