Bac Ha Temple Festival is held on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month every year, at Bac Ha Temple, Bac Ha town, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province to commemorate the death of National Duke Vu Van Mat, who had the merit of suppressing rebellions, pacifying the people, and defending the Northwest region in the 16th and 17th centuries.

The Ceremony includes: incense offering ceremony, men's ceremony, women's ceremony, palanquin procession.

During the festival, in addition to welcoming musical performances imbued with the local national cultural identity such as Xoe dancing, there will be many unique sports activities such as stick pushing, cockfighting, tug of war, Chinese chess...

The temple was built in the late 19th century, worshiping two brothers Vu Van Uyen and Vu Van Mat, on Ngoc Uyen cave (present-day Bac Ha region). Commemorating the merits of Vu Van Uyen, Vu Van Mat, generals and chiefs, for fighting the enemy and suppressing rebellions, defending a large area, mobilizing local ethnic minorities to guard the northern mountains, and preventing the enemy from invading the border.

With respect and gratitude to the Heroes who have contributed to the people, the country and the land of Bac Ha. The grave site of Nguyen Thai Hoc and soldiers in the Yen Bai uprising in 1930, located in Yen Hoa park (30 hectares wide), Nguyen Thai Hoc ward, Yen Bai city, built in 2001 . Nguyen Thai Hoc was born on December 1, 1902 in Tho Tang, Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc province. He was a patriot right from the time he was in a colonial school. He sent a letter to Governor General of Indochina Alexandre Varenne, a member of the French Socialist Party, calling for social reform in Vietnam. The Governor-General of Indochina did not pay attention to what Nguyen Thai Hoc suggested. On December 25, 1927, Nguyen Thai Hoc and his colleagues organized the establishment of the Vietnam Nationalist Party, and he was elected Chairman. The Vietnamese Nationalist Party was hunted down and arrested by the authorities. Faced with the risk of the Vietnamese Nationalist Party being broken up, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Nguyen Khac Nhu and Pho Duc Chinh decided to carry out a "general armed uprising".
