Mo communal house was built in 1675 under the reign of King Le Gia Tong, in Duc Hau village, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province (now Hau Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district). By 1884, the communal house was built on a large scale with 3 large houses. 3 years later, the French colonialists attacked the village and burned the communal house. In 1912, Dinh Mo was rebuilt. Currently, the entire Dinh Mo relic is 4,300 square meters wide and includes architectural works such as: Pagoda house, harem house, Ta Vu and Huu Vu houses. The worshiping house is made mainly of ironwood, has a length of 15.6m, a width of 7.9m, and the roof is covered with yin and yang tiles. The building is structured in a three-dimensional style, with traditional tenon assembly techniques. The harem house has 3 rooms, 4 rafters, the floor is tiled with marble, the frame is made of ironwood, decorated with majestic two dragons flanking the moon, and the roof is covered with yin and yang tiles. The system of left vu and right vu houses has 6 rooms, 5 floors, built with closed walls, roofed with yin and yang tiles, and has a four-pillar structure. According to ancient traditions, every year at Dinh Mo two ceremonies are held: Tieu Dien Festival is held on March 15 (AL); The Great Dien Ceremony is on November 15 (lunar calendar) with rituals such as: November 14 is a liturgical ceremony, the tablets of the gods are carried in a very majestic procession, led by a row of diagonal flags, followed by a palanquin painted in red and gilded with gold, and a parasol on top places the tablets of the gods worshiped at Dinh Mo... The Festival, held from November 8, includes: Men's and women's volleyball tournament, folk games. The Ceremony, held from the afternoon of November 14, is the procession of gods from Ca Temple to Mo Communal House, and the morning of November 15 is the main sacrificial ceremony. The traditional festival of the commune has attracted a large number of business people from all over the country to attend. Dinh Mo is not only a sacred place of worship, a place for village community activities, but also a testimony to many historical events that took place in the locality: During the Can Vuong movement against the French, Mr. Nguyen Xuan On and Le Doan Nha chose the area of ​​​​Dinh Mo as their headquarters to operate. In 1946, responding to President Ho Chi Minh's call to "Kill the hungry, the ignorant, and the foreign invaders", Dinh Mo opened the first popular education class in the region. With these historical, scientific and artistic values, in 2006, Dinh Mo was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Information as a National Historical - Architectural relic.
