Special features of Du Yen temple festival in Phu Tho Du Yen Temple has a history of more than 2000 years when it was first built as just a very small temple. In 2003, this temple was restored to include a 5-room front altar and a 3-room harem. In the temple, many precious artifacts are still preserved such as: palanquins, poetry thrones, halberds, bronze plaques, precious bowls, written in Nom on both sides... The statues in the temple are all carved from wood.  Besides the ordination of the Ly, Tran, Le, and Dinh dynasties, this temple still retains the genealogy recording 2,000 years of development of the family in Thanh Ba land. The festival is held at Du Yen temple - a sacred temple with a construction history of thousands of years. Du Yen Temple, also known as Mau Temple, is a temple worshiping Princess Ngoc Loan (real name Nguyen Thi Hanh). She had outstanding talent and was also a talented general under Hai Ba Trung. At the age of 26, she participated in the Hai Ba Trung uprising and was appointed leader of the army. Thanks to her many great contributions in expelling the Eastern Han invaders and regaining her country's independence in the years 40 - 43, she was appointed Princess Ngoc Loan and helped Trung Vuong in the process of ruling the country. To commemorate her great contributions, many places have established temples to worship Hanh Nuong, including Chi Tien - Thanh Ba commune. And the people here every year on January 15th organize the Du Yen temple festival as a way to express their gratitude and remember her great contributions. Du Yen Temple Festival is a festival with a long history of development along with the age of the temple's history. From ancient times until now, this festival has attracted a large number of locals and visitors from far away to attend. And the festival is held during the main period: the festival takes place on January 15; His birthday is celebrated on February 15 and his death day is celebrated on January 10.  The 15th day of the first lunar month is the most solemn and elaborate day of Du Yen temple festival. Legend has it that this is the day Hanh Nuong selected young men from Bong Chau village, gathered soldiers to hold a welcome party to encourage the soldiers. The festival at Du Yen temple is held on the 15th lunar month of the well month and takes place over 3 days from January 14 - 16.
