Phu Tho Xoan Association Every year on the 7th of January, every Phu Tho resident is in an extremely excited mood and flocks to Huong Nha village, Tam Thanh district, Phu Tho city to be able to experience and attend the Xoan festival for themselves. It cannot be denied that this is also a traditional festival of the people of Phu Tho in particular and our country of Vietnam in general, held every year with the main purpose of commemorating female general Xuan Nuong - this is also a female general of the Trung Sisters who was instrumental in expelling foreign invaders from the North. The annual Xoan Festival is still held annually for 3 days from the 7th to the 10th day of the first lunar month. The venue for this festival is Huong Nha commune, Tam Nong district, Phu Tho province, attracting many indigenous people and tourists from all over. To start this festival, in the early morning of the 7th day of the first lunar month every year, visitors can also see the image of hundreds of people in the village gathering together and gathering here in large numbers to hold the Spring Prayer ceremony to offer the Tutelary God - we can say that this is also one of the first rituals to start the Xoan festival so it is invested very carefully. In this activity, you can also see that the offering to the saints will be a very simple vegetarian offering, with yams and honey prepared very carefully by the people here before the festival begins.  During the festivals, there will also be singing guilds here that often organize Xoan singing on stages set up right at the communal house's door with the main goal of praying for good weather and good crops... for the people and this land every year.
