The festival took place vibrantly with activities such as: Boat racing, tug of war..., held in the sea area and sandy beach right in front of the temple door. Ba Men Temple is commonly known as Lord Ba Temple. According to legend, there were 6 women going to sea. While the sea was calm, a storm suddenly arose, causing both them and the boat to capsize. The women are said to "fall" at sacred hours, their bodies float to different places on the waters of Ha Long and Cat Ba and are buried by fishermen and set up shrines. In the muddy water of Dau Be Island, Ha Long Bay, where the body of Mrs. Men - one of six women, washed up, fishermen in the area buried and built a temple, worshiping her as a divine god who protects and protects fishermen in the area. At first, Ba Men Temple was just a grass-roofed temple, located close to the foot of the mountain. Afterwards, the temple was restored by fishermen in the area in 1983, 1987, 2006 and major restoration and renovation in 2018. In 2015, the Temple was included in the list of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in Quang Ninh province.
