“Carnaval Ha Long 2026 - A wonder that lights up a new era” promises a brilliant festival space Within the framework of the 2026 Summer Culture, Sports and Tourism Week (expected from April 25 to May 3), the art program combined with the Carnaval Ha Long street festival with the theme "Wonders brightening the new era" will be organized on a large scale and majestically, promising to create a brilliant and emotional festival space on the banks of the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay. According to the plan of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the art program "Carnaval Ha Long 2026 - Brightening wonders of a new era" opens on the evening of April 30 at October 30 Square, Ha Long ward. Before that, from 4:30 p.m. on the same day, there was a parade with 64 model cars, of which 54 were representatives of the province's localities and 10 were designed specifically for groups of parade dancers. This is the main activity in a series of tourism stimulation events in Quang Ninh province in 2026, welcoming a breakthrough summer tourism season. New to this year's Carnaval is the seamless combination of traditional and modern elements. The program is elaborately staged with the participation of thousands of professional actors and folk artists and is expected to have an audience of about 50,000 people. Audiences will admire gorgeously decorated model cars, inspired by typical symbols of Quang Ninh such as Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu or modern images of dynamic industrial parks. Everyone will march together in vibrant music and brilliant laser lights, creating a colorful cultural party. Not only stopping at the main festival night, Carnaval Ha Long 2026 is also surrounded by an "ecosystem" of other diverse cultural and sports activities. According to the province's plan, during the tourism week, tourists also have the opportunity to experience: Street dance "Dance of 5 continents" - Quang Ninh welcomes summer, held daily from April 28 to May 2; street music performance "Sounds by the Bay" from April 28 - May 3; Yen Tu art program to welcome summer 2026, propagate and promote the value of Yen Tu World Cultural Heritage and the Commemoration of the death anniversary of Second Patriarch Phap Loa; Monsignor Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival on April 29-30; performing a "wave festival" of light on the Ha Long Bay Heritage cruise ship; Quang Ninh Film Week welcomes summer 2026; exhibition of literary, artistic and sculptural works in the Mining region; International culinary street - Ha Long with culinary "train cars" representing communes, wards, special zones and domestic and international culinary "train cars" such as: Laos, India, China, Thailand, Japan, Korea; OCOP product fair and introduction of Vietnamese folk art forms; performing and experiencing the hot air balloon "Flying with Wonders"; International sports dance performances and traditional martial arts tournaments, taekwondo... The organization of the 2026 Summer Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of Quang Ninh province is an activity that concretizes the Party's policies and guidelines on developing Vietnamese culture and people in the new era, associated with the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the country; Developing tourism to become a key economic sector, building Quang Ninh into an international, modern, dynamic and rich tourism center. Through a series of unique cultural, sports and tourism activities, the event aims to arouse national pride, honor and promote the nation's good traditional cultural values, and spread the image of Quang Ninh people "Bravery, Self-reliance, Discipline, Solidarity, Gratitude, Generosity, Creativity, Civilization"; widely promote the potential and outstanding advantages of the province, especially the value of the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay and the World Cultural Heritage of Yen Tu (located in the World Cultural Heritage of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac). The 2026 Summer Culture, Sports and Tourism Week, with the highlight of "Carnaval Ha Long 2026 - Wonders that brighten the new era", is expected to create a strong push, contributing to completing the goal of welcoming over 22 million visitors, including about 5.2 million international visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching about 65,000 billion VND in 2026 of Quang Ninh province.
