This is the first festival of the year to pray for the country and people's peace. At the same time, through the festival, it aims to create attachment and solidarity in the community, foster village love and neighborliness to work together to build a developed homeland and a prosperous and strong country. According to the book "Vietnamese customs" by Phan Ke Binh, published by Literature Publishing House in 2006: "The Ky Phuc festival was originally the Ky Phuc sacrifice - a popular sacrifice in the Red River Delta and the North Central region. Every year during the four or two periods of spring and autumn, there is a week of great sacrifice called Ky Phuc sacrifice, meaning praying for the people's peace." Ky Ky is understood as a periodic, annual job at a certain time. The word Phuc means “good thing” or “lucky thing”. Legend has it that "My Tu Thuong Phuc Than Ly Kim Ngo" was born in the year of the Cat 1183, and died in the year of the Tiger in 1206 at Phuc Ha site (now Phu Xa village, Xuan Lap commune). During the Ly dynasty, he was a talented general who was instrumental in repelling the Ai Lao invaders who invaded our country at that time. After achieving victory, he refused the royal titles, asked to return to his homeland and the king agreed to grant Phuc Ha site - the land where he was born, Thang Moc land. After his death, the king bestowed on him the title "My Tu Superior Phuc Than". Since then, the people of the ancient Phuc Ha site, Phu Xa village, Xuan Lap commune today have always remembered the merits of the talented general who was instrumental in repelling foreign invaders and honored him as the village's tutelary god, receiving his spirit to worship at Phu Xa village communal house. Phu Xa Village's Ky Phuc Festival, held on the 4th day of the second lunar month every year, is the village's traditional festival to pay tribute to the merits of Tutelary God Ly Kim Ngo. This year's Ky Phuc Festival will be held solemnly, meaningfully and practically. The ceremony took place solemnly with palanquin processions and traditional offerings to the village tutelary god. The festival includes bustling folk games and performances, with many unique activities such as cultural and sports exchanges, cockfighting folk games... During the days of the festival, local people as well as children living far away from home and tourists will participate in cultural and artistic activities, expressing gratitude for the merits of the generation of ancestors who fought off foreign invaders. Through the festival, it contributes to helping people improve their patriotism, unite the community, and foster village love to jointly preserve, protect and build an increasingly developed homeland. Xuan Lap Commune Party Committee Secretary Ly Dinh Si said: "The Ky Phuc Festival of Phu Xa village plays a special role in the cultural and spiritual life of the local community.
