Notre Dame Temple

Notre Dame Temple

Notre Dame Temple (Huong Non, Tam Nong, Phu Tho, Vietnam) is a place to worship Princess Xuan Nuong - who had great contributions in the uprising at the beginning of the common era. She was appointed by Trung Vuong to the position of General of the Left General and Counselor when the Han Dynasty sent Ma Vien to invade our country again. She and her husband, Mr. Thi Bang, fought bravely against the invaders and both heroically sacrificed their lives. Legend has it that the place where the Lady's temple is now is the place where insurgents gathered and was also the place where she died. Admired by her merits, the local people built a temple and she was awarded the title of Duc Ban Canh Dong Cung First Eight Vicious Princess Xuan Nuong.
