On the night of April 30, 1977, at the same time as 14 border communes of An Giang province, Pol Pot sent troops to attack and brutally massacre our compatriots. Hoa Thanh Pagoda or Hoa Thanh Co Tu, commonly known as Cay Mit Pagoda, is located in Nhon Hung commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province. Hoa Thanh Pagoda was built by the people of Nhon Hung village in 1847, initially very simple with mixed trees, leaf walls, and thatched roof.
