The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025

The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival has the theme of "Buon Ma Thuot - the destination of the world coffee", which takes place from 9 to 13/3/2025 in Ho Chi Minh City. Buon Ma Thuot and some localities in the province.

On the evening of March 10, at 10/3 Square, TP. Buon Ma Thuot, the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, in 2025, officially opened.

Inheriting, promoting, innovating and creating after 8 times, the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 took place with activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the victory of Buon Ma Thuot, Liberation of Dak Lak Province promising many meaningful, unique and attractive programs.  Comrade Huynh Thi Chien Hoa expressed his hope that, during the days of attending the festival, delegates and visitors will have moments of interesting experience, immersed in the scent of coffee, immerse themselves in the unique traditional festivals in the most beautiful moment of March of the Central Highlands. Attending and speaking at the opening ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that Dak Lak has long been dubbed the "Vietnam Coffee Capital", completely potential enough and advantages to become one of the major coffee centers in the region and the world. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that Vietnam's coffee industry is currently aiming to develop sustainably, improve and prolong product value chains. In 2024, for the first time exporting coffee exceeded US $ 5 billion, continuing to affirm its position as the second largest coffee supplier in the world, only after Brazil. In particular, Dak Lak contributed about 18% of export turnover; The famous brand and geographical indication "Buon Ma Thuot Coffee" has been present in more than 80 countries and territories around the world. However, at present, Vietnam's coffee industry is still facing many big challenges such as: uneven quality; The deep processing rate is still low; Products are not diverse, suitable for tastes; Competitive pressure and market standards are increasing, typically the EU anti -deforestation regulations; Decreased productivity due to climate change ... In order to improve the quality, brand and value of Vietnamese coffee, improve the life of farmers, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha suggested that in the coming time, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment along with localities, associations, enterprises of coffee production, processing and trading continue to coordinate in reviewing planning, building high quality coffee growing areas, low emissions; Application of high -tech science to processing; Building sustainable value chain on the basis of linking farmers, cooperatives, processing enterprises and exports, helping to stabilize prices and increase income for coffee growers. Farmers, those who directly make coffee beans must benefit from the development of Vietnam's coffee industry. Besides, focusing on improving the quality, diversifying products, towards environmentally friendly Vietnamese coffee. Vietnam Coffee - Cocoa Association and coffee manufacturing, processing and trading enterprises should actively invest in traceability technology, use blockchain and smart supply chain management systems to ensure transparency, build sustainable management systems from production to processing and export. In addition, it is necessary to focus on promoting Vietnamese coffee brands, focusing on promoting the expansion of the domestic and international markets. Businesses need to develop strategies for promotion, marketing and brand positioning in accordance with capacity; Expanding direct distribution channels in potential markets, e -commerce development, diversity of consumption channels ... On this occasion, Deputy Head of Propaganda Department and Central Mobilization Do Van Phoi awarded certification of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage "Knowledge of Dak Lak coffee planting and processing" to Dak Lak province. After the ritual, the opening ceremony of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, in 2025, the unique cultural and artistic program took place with a large number of professional, semi -professional actors, artists, artisans ... participating in the performance. The Festival's opening art program includes 3 chapters: Chapter 1: Buon Ma Thuot - Aspiration to reach far; Chapter 2: Buon Ma Thuot - Robusta black golden seeds; Chapter 3: Buon Ma Thuot - Coffee City.
