Giong Festival is an annual traditional festival in many places in the Hanoi region to commemorate and praise the exploits of the legendary hero Thanh Giong, one of the four immortals of Vietnamese folk beliefs.

There are two typical Giong festivals in Hanoi, namely Soc Son Giong festival in Soc temple, Phu Linh commune, Soc Son district, and Phu Dong Giong festival in Phu Dong temple, Phu Dong commune, Gia Lam district, which has been registered by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. In the jade pavilion, there is a statue of Guan Yin Buddha that was built in a square lake. The king often came here to chant Buddhist scriptures and pray.
