Thousands of people flock to the folk festival of 3 regions in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City The folk festival of 3 regions opened from June 26 and will last up to 2-7, attracting a lot of people and tourists In recent days, Le Loi and Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) have become bustling with the event of the 3 -region folk festival held to celebrate 24 years of Vietnam Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2025). The festival attracts a large number of locals as well as international visitors to visit and explore the quintessence of culinary flowers throughout the North - Central - South. Right from the welcome gate, the festive atmosphere was filled with colors, sounds and flavors. The stalls are eye -catching, the seller is always welcoming, ready to introduce each typical home dish to customers. The day gathered a lot of folk cakes, such as pancakes, khot cakes, casters ... and a series of Western cakes such as leaf cakes, banana bread, beef cakes ... All are processed by chefs and enthusiastic artisans, with the desire to preserve and spread the Vietnamese traditional flavor. One of the highlights that attracts many people is the lam rice - the mountain -style dish, now created more colors thanks to the combination of special types of upland sticky rice and rice. The brilliant lames are not only strange but also retain the culinary soul of the mountainous region. At Coconut Bakers, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Vi, from Ben Tre, said these cakes have been with her family for more than 20 years. Therefore, she wants to bring it to the city for more people to enjoy.  "Most of the ingredients are prepared and cooked on the spot, only the unique things that have to be transported from the countryside. This is a traditional dish of the family, has been transmitted for generations so I am very proud," Ms. Vi said. Mr. Huynh Thanh Tan - the owner of the pancakes from District 7, Ho Chi Minh City - brought to the festival of crispy pancakes, crispy and yellow pancakes. "These dishes I have sold for a long time in the shop, is a folk dish close to every Vietnamese family. Thanks to this occasion, I have the opportunity to bring the dish closer to many people" - he shared. The festive atmosphere is more and more exciting thanks to the flow of people to visit and shop. Not only food, this place also sells clothes, accessories, bracelets, souvenirs of all kinds. The entertainment area is equally busy, with folk games such as shooting animals, singing lots that make anyone go by wanting to stop trying luck. Mr. Nam, a student, said that the festival had just enjoyed a few dishes. "The pancake here is delicious, the west. The price is also reasonable, suitable for students like me. The folk cake festival has turned the corner of the center of District 1 into a miniature countryside. The greasy aroma of coconut milk, thin smoke flying from the pan of pancakes, pineapple green, purple leaves ..., all blended to create a culinary picture that is both close and proud.  This is not only a place to fill the hungry stomach, but also to soothe the nostalgia of the countryside, evoking childhood for the elderly, bringing a corner of the interesting cultural experience for young people.
