Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival

This spiritual festival has long become a traditional cultural feature of the Vietnamese people, especially every spring, which is also the time when many pagoda festivals open to welcome tourists from all over. It would be a mistake to talk about spiritual festivals and ignore Tran Temple in the city. Nam Dinh, this place is considered the land of "The land of outstanding people", rich in cultural traditions with many festivals associated with historical relics from thousands of years ago.

Tran Temple Opening Festival in Nam Dinh is held in early spring every year to preserve and promote cultural values, educate patriotic traditions against foreign invaders, commemorate the merits of predecessors, remember the great merits of the Tran Dynasty, which built the country, opened rivers, reclaimed the sea and expanded the territory with the shining spirit of Dong A, defeating the Nguyen - Mongol invaders three times.

The opening ceremony of Tran Temple took place on the night of January 14 and early morning of January 15. Although the event took place late, it still attracted a large number of people and Buddhists to worship. The seal opening ceremony took place with 3 rituals: Incense offering, procession of seal palanquin and seal opening at Tran Dynasty Tien Mieu (Thien Truong palace).

On the night of February 4 (January 14, Quy Mao), at the Tran Temple - Thap Pagoda Cultural and Historical Relic Area (Loc Vuong ward, Nam Dinh city, Nam Dinh province), the opening ceremony of Tran Xuan Quy Mao temple in 2023 was solemnly held.
