Da Nang: Official launch of the 2026 Festival of Light and Heritage Welcoming the new spring, Hoi An Memory Island officially announced The Festival of Light & Heritage 2026 - a series of large-scale cultural, artistic and technological experiences, taking place from February 17 to April 30, 2026, promising to become a new tourist destination not to be missed in Hoi An during Tet and spring 2026. With the principle of "Lighting up the Culture of Vietnam", the 2026 Light & Heritage Festival combines for the first time the art of giant lantern installation, Drone performance and authentic experience of traditional craft villages, to tell the heroic story of the Faifo trading port in the language of light and contemporary technology. Recreating the "Heritage Painting" in the middle of the Hoai River Inspired by the prosperous trade period of the 17th century, the 2026 Light & Heritage Festival chooses the Shuinsen symbol as the highlight throughout. For the first time in Hoi An, the legendary boat - a symbol of the cultural connection between Vietnam and Japan and the prosperity of the once international trading port - will be recreated with a brilliant large-scale artistic lantern system in the middle of the Hoai River. More than just decoration, each cluster of lanterns is a piece of history, turning the entire Hoi An Memory Island into a splendid "heritage picture", the entire space of Hoi An Memory Island will become a lively "light museum", where visitors can not only watch but also "live" in a multi-dimensional space to feel the cultural flow of thousands of years. Pioneering Mark: Dragon & Phoenix Drones in the Sky of Heritage The explosive highlight of the 2026 Light & Heritage Festival is the bold combination of tradition and modern technology. For the first time in the spring sky of Hoi An, visitors will admire the Drone Light Dragon - Phoenix performance - a symbol of auspiciousness and prosperity.
