On the afternoon of January 19, at Tuan Viet Garden House (Hong Ha ward, Hanoi), Hong Ha Ward People's Committee in collaboration with Nhat Tan Peach Blossom Traditional Craft Village Association held the opening ceremony of the Festival "Nhat Tan Peaches - Hong Ha Spring Colors" in 2026. The festival aims to honor the value of the traditional peach blossom craft village, introducing artistic peach works to serve people and tourists welcoming Spring 2026. Nhat Tan peach blossom growing village is one of the ancient craft villages of Thang Long - Hanoi. Since the Le Dynasty, Nhat Tan has been famous for flower growing, in which peach trees hold a central position thanks to the alluvial soil conditions along the Red River and the typical climate of the West Lake region. Over many generations, people have accumulated experience, selected varieties and perfected specific techniques such as bending, circling roots, plucking leaves, stopping and pushing flowers, creating peach trees with beautiful shapes, long-lasting flowers, thick buds, gradually forming the famous "Nhat Tan peach" brand in Kinh Ky. Through many historical upheavals and the process of urbanization, the farming area of ​​craft villages has at times shrunk. However, Nhat Tan peach growers still persevere in maintaining their profession, moving their growing areas to the Red River banks, maintaining traditional varieties and techniques. Since then, Nhat Tan peach blossoms are not only an agricultural product but have become a cultural symbol of Hanoi's Tet, crystallizing the historical value, urban aesthetics and enduring vitality of a Thang Long craft village. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Tuan Viet, Chairman of the Nhat Tan Peach Blossom Traditional Craft Village Association, emphasized that Nhat Tan peach blossoms are not only a product of labor but also a spiritual and cultural symbol, deeply attached to the traditional Tet of the Vietnamese people. The festival is an opportunity to honor the cultural values ​​of craft villages, while promoting ornamental works of high artistic value to people and tourists. Information at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Dang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Ha ward, said that currently Nhat Tan peach village maintains a growing area mainly in the area along the Red River, with a total area of ​​about 80 hectares, including many peach varieties such as Nhat Tan ancient flange peach, double fade peach, seed peach, That con peach... The whole area has over 750 households directly producing, caring for and trading ornamental peaches; The trade and service value of the craft village is estimated at about 60 billion VND/year. The Nhat Tan peach growing village association currently has about 400 members, playing the role of preserving varieties, transmitting the profession and connecting markets, contributing to maintaining the Nhat Tan peach brand in the context of urbanization.
